Technical Account Manager (Five9)

Job Summary: The Five9 Technical Account Manager (TAM) specializing in pre-sales activities plays a pivotal role in driving customer success through technical expertise, solution consulting, and effective communication. This professional will be responsible for engaging with prospective clients, understanding their business needs, and providing technical guidance to support the sales process. The TAM will collaborate closely with the sales team, product managers, and engineers to deliver comprehensive solutions using the Five9 cloud contact center platform.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Sales Consultation:

    • Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with potential clients to understand their business requirements, contact center challenges, and technical needs.

    • Utilize product knowledge to articulate how the Five9 platform can address specific client pain points and enhance their contact center operations.

  2. Solution Design and Presentations:

    • Develop customized solutions based on client requirements, leveraging the capabilities of the Five9 platform.

    • Create compelling and clear technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of Five9 solutions.

  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and the evolving features of the Five9 platform.

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on Five9's technical capabilities, integration options, and customization opportunities.

  4. Collaboration with Sales Team:

    • Partner with the sales team to understand client goals and objectives, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business outcomes.

  5. Proof of Concept (POC) Development:

    • Collaborate with clients to design and execute proof of concept projects to demonstrate the value and feasibility of the proposed solutions.

    • Provide technical support during POCs to address client inquiries and concerns.

  6. Technical Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at client organizations.

    • Act as a liaison between the client and internal technical teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales activities.

  7. Training and Enablement:

    • Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on the technical aspects of the Five9 platform.

    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients as they integrate and optimize their use of Five9 solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting, or similar roles.

  • In-depth knowledge of contact center technologies, cloud-based solutions, and the Five9 platform.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
